Women's Public Leadership Network (WPLN) educates, organizes, and inspires center- and right-leaning women to seek public office at all levels across the U.S. and become effective leaders once there. We are building a network of support across the country that includes state-based organizations to identify, engage, and train women on the ground. We offer tools and opportunities designed to equip women with the knowledge and resources they need, including online content and access to a community of like-minded individuals who can help them on their journey.
ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
The WPLN Fellowship for Nonprofit Management program will employ up to three Fellows to help build the capacity of our organization and State Partners, which identify, engage, and train women on the ground to run for office. Through this program, Fellows will receive mentorship opportunities and hands-on training on practical skills needed to support and scale nonprofits. Each Fellow will support program design, marketing, budgeting, communications, fundraising, data management, and brand building efforts to help WPLN achieve its mission to see more women at decision-making tables.
Requirements
*At this time, applications are limited to only U.S. Citizens and U.S. permanent residents (i.e. green card holders).
Applicants must be enrolled in an institution of higher education at the AA, BA, or graduate level. Ideal candidates will have a passion for increasing women’s representation in public office, especially those who identify as center- and right-leaning in their political ideology and want to strengthen their knowledge and skills in the nonprofit sector. We are looking for collaborative individuals who are willing to bring their creativity and unique perspectives to the program, operating with honesty and integrity.
Fellows must also commit to working 10 hours per week. Most activities will be done virtually although there will be a couple in-person programs (see below for required event attendance). Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of $1,250. Due to the time commitment, candidates who are employed full time or have full time internships will not be considered.

- Monthly calls with experts on different aspects of nonprofit management, including marketing, budgeting, management, operations, fundraising, strategic planning, and measurement & evaluation.
