Women’s Public Leadership Network’s National Impact Council is an exclusive community of leaders, practitioners, and engaged supporters committed to expanding leadership opportunities and strengthening communities through public service.
As WPLN grows its national reach, the National Impact Council plays an important role in helping shape how we educate, organize, and inspire women across the country. Members are more than part of a network—they are active partners in advancing women’s leadership and strengthening WPLN’s impact nationwide.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL IMPACT COUNCIL
The National Impact Council brings together leaders from across sectors and communities who believe in advancing women in public life.
Members share their experience and perspective to help inform WPLN’s programming, expand our reach, and elevate conversations around effective, service-driven leadership. Through strategic engagement with WPLN leadership and one another, National Impact Council members help ensure our work reflects the opportunities, challenges, and needs of women and communities across the country.
Being a part of the Impact Counil is a meaningful way to stay connected to a national movement while helping guide how WPLN’s work grows and evolves.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
The National Impact Council is an application based, invite-only community designed for leaders who are committed to advancing women’s leadership and strengthening their communities.
Members may include:
- Leaders and practitioners across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors
- Individuals committed to advancing women in public leadership
- Community leaders and influencers with valuable state and regional perspectives
- Supporters who want to help shape and expand WPLN’s national reach
- Individuals interested in sharing their expertise, networks, and experiences to strengthen WPLN’s programs and impact
Participation is application-based and requires alignment with WPLN’s mission.

IMPACT PARTNER OPPORTUNITIES
Individual Impact Partner
$50/month or $500/year
Annual participation is discounted when paid in full.
Individual Impact Partners are leaders and influencers who support WPLN’s mission and want to contribute to the organization’s national impact.
Participation includes:
- Monthly invitations and updates
- Quarterly meetings with WPLN leadership
- Access to strategic sessions
- Invitations to select WPLN events and convenings
- Discounts on select WPLN programs and events
- Opportunities to contribute expertise and thought leadership
- An annual strategy session, including an in-person convening opportunity
- Opportunities to build relationships with leaders from across the country
Application required.
Corporate & Organizational Impact Partner
$1,000/year
Corporate and organizational partners may designate one organizational leader to participate in the National Impact Council.
Organizations and sponsors that have supported WPLN at the $1,000+ level are invited to apply for participation.
Application required and subject to alignment with WPLN’s mission.
PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS
National Impact Council members are expected to:
- Participate in quarterly virtual sessions with WPLN leadership, fellow Impact Partners, and guest presenters
- Provide thought leadership and insights on emerging trends and leadership needs in their states and nationally
- Share relevant WPLN programs, events, and opportunities with their networks
- Help amplify WPLN’s work within their communities
- Participate in strategic sessions and other engagement opportunities when possible
- Serve as ambassadors for WPLN’s mission and the advancement of women in public leadership
