Alexandria, VA (August 25, 2025)—Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN), a non-partisan non-profit that equips and encourages women to seek public office, is pleased to announce today that we have launched the fourth cohort of our Fellowship for Nonprofit Management for the 2025-2026 academic year.
“It's incredibly exciting to welcome our newest cohort of fellows to WPLN," said Larissa Martinez, WPLN Founder and President. "The young women who have participated in this program over the past three years have brought indispensable talents to our organization and continue to elevate our programming and expand our reach. These young women don't just support our work—they actively shape it and make us a stronger organization.”
Two young women were selected for this Fellowship:
As part of this program, fellows will receive mentorship opportunities and hands-on training on practical skills needed to support and scale nonprofits. Each Fellow will support program design, marketing, budgeting, communications, fundraising, data management, and brand building efforts to help WPLN achieve its mission to see more women at decision-making tables.
Hear from WPLN Alumni Fellows on how this program strengthened their skills and supported their professional development:
“During my time as a WPLN fellow, I not only gained new skills and knowledge in the nonprofit sector, but I also learned so much about myself and my role as a woman in the public sector. After the 2025 National Summit and the fellowship had officially ended, I found myself looking within to discover dreams I came to the fellowship more flushed out and new aspirations that were not there when I first started the fellowship. I am so grateful for the experiences, connections, and mentorship that I received as a fellow with WPLN, which I know will follow me into the next steps of my education, career, and commitment to public service.” – Jianna Covarelli (2024-2025 Class)
“By working across WPLN's state partner network, I had the opportunity to learn a variety of leadership and growth strategies, as well as work on diverse projects. I also had the opportunity to expand my network and build long-lasting relationships. The WPLN fellowship is truly unique and was one of the best experiences of my college career!” – Kendall Webb (2023-2024 Class)
